Lamborghini will be building a new vehicle based on its Concept S, but will limit numbers to no more than 80 or 90, according to Automotive News Europe.
Though intended more as a demonstration of what could be done with the upcoming roadster version of the Gallardo,
the Concept S proved to be such a hit with Lambo enthusiasts the company has decided to put the vehicle into production.
The company is still expected to go forward with a separate Gallardo Roadster, which could be named "Spyder"
when it debuts at the Frankfurt auto show in September.
The Concept S originated in Centro Stile Lamborghini at the company's headquarters in Sant' Agata Bolognese, with primary responsibility going to the company's design chief, Luc Donckerwolke.
The production model will retain its "saute-vent," which divides the cockpit into two distinct sections, an electronically controlled retractable rearview mirror mounted in the center console, and the lack of a proper roof

Man, that thing will turn heads!
But I think it's really nice because it's has very strong personality. Lamborghini does nice cars and you really can't ignore them in the traffic or confuse with an other sportscar brand. They are so different than Ferraris or Porsches.

It'll turn heads thats for sure but i dunno...i wouldnt purchase one. In this day and age that we are in right now- Its weird! :roll:

Maybe its just me...I still adore the normal Gallardo thats in my siggy.
 
I'd drive that around no questions asked that is one hot looking car.
 
Somehow I feel that this new project is gonna all fall to ruins in disgrace. first of all, the car would be very uncomfortable to drive at high speeds, because the windshield's not high enough, and the intakes are too close for noise comfort, not to talk about many other unbearable aspects, such as the separation of the seats that would make this car less than good for sale, not to mention the "safety people" will be on their asses for such a radical car, it doesn't even look safe, and probably it doesn't even come close to it.

So, all in all, they probably will have to make some serious and drastic modifications which will dissapoint everybody, if they will even spend the money to modify it rather than scratch the whole project alltogether. Plus, they will modify it too a bit, because all cars coming from concept are, at least slightly, changed by the manufacturer. So, in conclusion, I still think they can't make it.

Maybe it's asking too much, but if it had like a retractable/sliding glass roof...that would be wicked!

Would be nice, but say goodbye to the Gallardo's poise and precision cos it'll be to heavy!
 
A glass roof would be awesome. BUT it might be a little hard to communicate between passenger/driver. Can you say intercom system. althouhgh that might be a little weird and too much of a hassle.

if i were to buy that.. i'd buy it just for the car shows or something.. good show car.. but otherwise.. i dont really like it too much, i'm glad they arent making too many
 
I guess this car will give a hard time for people to make out on lovers lane
