Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann: "A third model would fit Lamborghini very well"

Might be a bit to early to be getting excited, since this doesn't seem to be much more than speculation, but still...

Autoweek said:
Is Lamborghini preparing a four-door-fighter to take on the Porsche Panamera and the Aston Martin Rapide--perhaps along the lines of the Estoque? Maybe.

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann again raised that possibility recently.

?A third model would fit Lamborghini very well,? Winkelmann, 45, told Bloomberg. ?A four-door car would be a very feasible approach.?
Lamborghini most recently considered the concept of a four-door with the Estoque sedan, a prototype revealed at the 2008 Paris motor show. But since then, the Italian company has been mum about the car's fate, except for a statement last year indicating that no decision had been made either way for production. AutoWeek named it the Best in Show in Paris.

errm, yeah...

DO IT LAMBORGHINI

Just make the damn car! Such an amazing piece of design deserves to be built :D

The Estoque is such a no brainer. Considering how much Aston charges for the Rapide, this would be pretty profitable for Lamborghini.

Suicide scissor doors.

Should overlap Bentley pretty well. Good work VW. Will Bentley or Lamborghini be making a car to compete with the Veyron?

Doesn't make sense considering they're all VW's. I guess there's a possibility of a reskinned Veyron, but that kinda defeats the point.

Would it? I mean, VW is the king of overlap, but Bentley is more on the luxury side of the equation - fast as the Continental Flying Spur is, it's big, upright and heavy - Lambo would be well on the sport side. Really not aiming for the same buyer.
