Le Mans 24hrs 2015

I don't mind too much. Garage 56 should be reserved for the projcets that are truly out of the leftfield, and if there aren't any proposals, it doesn't get used.

On the other hand, I can't deny wanting both the DeltaWing and the ZEOD-RC to succeed.

there are rumours BMW are looking into participating in 2017
first year might also be garage 56 like nissan did...

I'm going!

If you find a Puffalump passed out in a field somewhere, please feed it fries with mayo.

quali live

Fastest Lap around Le Mans with chicanes, ever: Peugot 908 HDi FAP - 3:18.513 - 2008

Fastest Lap in Le Mans last year: Toyota TS040 - 3:21.789

Fastest Lap so far: Porsche 919 Hybrid - 3:16.887

The Nissans seem really slow. That's disappointing. :(

anyone a member with access to the livestream?
how is it? worth the 10? for the race?
of not much better than the eurosport coverage?

The Nissans seem really slow. That's disappointing. :(

Because they're basically driving without their hybrid system, because none of it is working ... shame. But to be expected, since they already said this beforehand.

Practice now live: http://www.sportingvideo.tv/20150610/vv5578a5067ce199.44471679-1089383.html

[edit]
The acceleration and grip of the LMP1-cars is nuts - when they come up behind GTE-cars around the corner which aren't slow they are just eating them up in half a second or so. There was a replay of a Porsche 919 in the Porsche curves and it literally jumped about 20? laterally in the corner while doing 200+ kph...

I'm so annoyed. I was planning on sitting at a bar all day drinking and watching the race on a big screen. Just checked the TV listings for this year

Saturday, June 13 ? 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM (FOX Sports 2)
Saturday, June 13 ? 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM (FOX Sports 1)
Saturday, June 13 ? 11:00 PM to 12:30 AM (FOX Sports 2)
Sunday, June 14 ? 3:30 AM to 7:30 AM (FOX Sports 1)
Sunday, June 14 ? 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM (FOX Sports 2)
Sunday, June 14 ? 9 AM to 9:30 AM (FOX Sports 1)

Thats literally useless. What is FS1 and FS2 covering the rest of Saturday? FIFA Women's Soccer World Cup, NASCAR Qualifying (yes, qualifying, not even an actual race), UEFA Euro Soccer qualifier (again.... a qualifier), more FIFA, more NASCAR.

I don't understand how the most famous once-a-year race is getting cut for qualifiers. Was there really that few people watching last year?

For reference, this was last year's schedule

Saturday, June 14 ? 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM (FOX Sports 1)
Saturday, June 14 ? 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM (FOX Sports 2)
Saturday, June 14 ? 6:30 PM to 1:00 AM (FOX Sports 2)
Saturday, June 14 ? 1:00 AM to 7:30 AM (FOX Sports 1)
Sunday, June 15 ? 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM (FOX Sports 2)

Literally flag to flag (minus 1.5 hours in the early evening on Saturday)

Crazy Russian, got your TV hooked up to your PC?

If so:
http://henno.info/

Got it from /r/wec, apparently the stream even has its own sub. Multiple stream sources with IRC chat and broadcasting in English from the official WEC stream and British EuroSport.

:)
