A few from an absolute classic weekend, the best type of racing, the best race of the season and a great result for Audi!

They're in a bit of a funny order, generally they start at the end... which is why the finish shots are first, but they're also dependant on the camera because of the file naming!

Nice, I agree with Dan. What kit were you using?

Thanks!

Yes, I had a media pass.

Kit is:

EOS 40D and EOS 10D, mostly just with 300mm f4 (and a 1.4 teleconverter) and a 70-200 f4.

The 70-200 stays on the 10D mainly for panning, and the 300f4 and TC go on the 40D because it performs better at higher ISOs (which is sometimes required seeing as the TC stops the lens to f5.6), plus the 40D has the better frame rate (6.5fps as opposed to 3fps on the 10D) so it's better for the headons. I never use burst mode for pans. Saying that, I stuck the 70-200 on the 40D so I could burst the finish shots, just to make sure I got the cars and the flag!

The portrait is on a 28-135 lens, just because I was doing a pitstop at the time and wanted my two wide lenses (10-20 and 28-135) on the bodies for those shots. I'd rather have done the portrait on the 70-200, but I'd left it in the media centre as I was in a rush!
