Nice shots pdanev, I like the terminal.

Went for a walk on the lake today and there was a family flying a kite and trying to make snowmen.. Snow was too dry though :(

Well, it's.. cold snow (-20 C / -4 F today). It's like little flakes, like in the picture. Wet, warm snow is slushy (sp?) and you can pile it up better, to make snowmen :p

Skoshi has the right idea, if the temp is close to freezing point, the snow will be slushy. We call it "sticky snow" here becuase it sticks to everything. This is the best snow for making snowmen, snowballs, anything. It is also the hardest to shovel. "Dry snow" is just as skoshi described, the snow flakes are so cold there is no liquid water to have the flakes stick together that well. This snow usually creates higher amounts of snow, and is typically very light and airy. 8)

I can't exactly remember whether I already did post that photo, it's from last year's Frankfurt motor show. (Presentation of the new S-Class) I especially like the movement in it.

Here's another one from yesterday. I had the focuspoint set up wrong and was a bit late with this shot, didn't want the guy to see me taking it :p

Aight i've decided to bring this thread down a level back to point/shoot photography w/ no photo effects.

I was taking pictures of Crystal Springs(in Northern California near Stanford's Linear Accelerator and I just snapped this for hte fun of it. It's got my car in the background.
