this is from an autocross event... he's sitting at about the right distance as far as I can tell. And, his hand is up because he's in the middle of turning.

that's what I thought too.. until I rode in one of the faster cars on the course. The car is never going straight. It's hard to tell from the side...

lol, yeah.. it's a melted taillight off a Dodge Dynasty. There were two cars in the port that a structure fire got a little close to and melted everything that wasn't metal.
