Quoted so you won't be the last on the page.

I just got plain lucky with this picture, and all I did was turn up the contrast a bit. Also, I stopped using my 18-55mm kit lens for now until I get my new Tamron, I will be using the 50mm F/1.8. This pic was taken with the 50mm.

Took this tonight of the valve cover I just polished. Took me all day. Happy with the results, and very happy with this photo. (as you can see, I made a sig with it)

One more that looks pretty good.

Took this the other day with a Nikon D40x and a 18mm-135mm lens.

What do you think?

Nice! I like the purple hues in the sky, only negative thing would be the slightly overexposed sky in the top right. But then to correct that, the rest of the pic would be underexposed (unless you did a bit of HDR)

He tried to fix that already, by the looks of things. The top right is overexposed, but it's not white, it's grey...

No HDR was done.

I tried a black brush at 15% opacity in photoshop and it helped slightly.

Get Lightroom. That'll allow you to fix an overly bright image without making the overexposed parts grey.

Is lightroom better than Photoshop CS3?

Anyway, another photo:

When it comes to "developing" photos, it is. It was made just for that purpose, where as Photoshop is a lot more.

Today's macro from me:

What else are you supposed to do with dismantled laptops? :D I have another like this, which will be in my photo album.

I think I might start watermarking these, or putting a border on them. :)
