seems a bit cold, but nice lighting

Thanks. The cold post processing was on purpose, as the warm evening sun mixed with a silver umbrella didnt come out too good. A gold reflector or yellow gel on the flash would have been better.

This was the first time i've ever used strobes outside.

Jay, great stuff. Do you shoot in the 'wild' or do you shoot in a setup? (This regarding you single flower shots, not the fields...)

Thank you to you and others who commented.

I just meander around the arboretum I go to weekly, and take pictures on the fly. The one red Columbine picture I had to tramp through deep woods to photograph it.

In the background near a pile of logs I found Trillium booming, which I will post tomorrow. I like this time of year, the woods are lush with minimal undergrowth.

I also took some not really in focus pictures of birds at the ole duck pond today... stupid cat tails messing up my auto focus.

It's too dark at the front IMO, you can't really see much of your car's front.

Yeah, I know but that's what I wanted to do. I tought it looked more like a silhouette not the whole car.

Ice, your yellow rose is beautiful

I'm a little bit disappointed by the furry focus on the spider in this one, but there's no way of fixing that now.
