Bunker mentality is probably the most accurate therm for the current mood in The White House, It's probably much like the mood in the late spring of 1945 depicted in "Der Untergang"

Two things: One is a French cartoonist. Two, wouldn't that be correct for them to fly forward? Or is that not a thing?
Nope, the blue star field is always attached to the flagpole. The only time you will see a flag "backwards" is on the right shoulder patch of military uniforms. This is because the flag is considered to be "flying" as if from a pole and it should not be shown "in retreat" from the front.

The flags in the cartoon are correct if they were to be printed on a surface, but are not correct if actually flown. When the presidential limo is also hosting the leader of another nation, both flags are typically flown.

It's possible to find it both funny and scary.

At least he does some working out, namely climbing into his truck. Probably several times a day at the fuel station.

They all say that. I doubt fuel mileage is all that great when you jack up sky high, put massive tires on it and most likely gun it everywhere because really, you want a coal powered vehicle to “own the libs.”

An interesting note: there's not even a visible actual American flag... because of course.

There's the Blue Line flag, and then what looks like an American flag behind it is either just a trump flag with red and white stripes, OR it's a trump flag *obscuring* an American flag, which is almost more appropriate...
