Linkin Park announce new vocalist, album and tour

In the end he might be Chester's son but I don't feel like it makes him the heir to his fathers carreer. To me this article and his tweets feel like he has some personal issues with Mike Shinoda and because the two of them can't seem to get to agreement he resorts to publicly shaming Mike Shinoda and the other band members hoping other people will start tot hate them. Not exactly like it, but a bit like a spoilt brat trying to get someone cancelled because they said something he doesn't like.

And I can't see how rebooting Linkin Park can, will or could erase Chesters legacy.

I feel like this is a case where whatever they do, it would always offend someone and there would always be haters.

Rebooting with a new band name: many people would hate it and others would hate it if they dared to play any Linkin Park songs under a different band name. And in my opinion that would be erasing Chesters legacy, same general sound but different singer like Chester never was part of it or helped making it what it currently is.

And maybe they could have picked another singer, but then again yes the fans have to listen to it but it's the band that has to practically live with the singer on tour and in the studio. So in that way it does make sense Mike picked someone closer to him.

I personally don't give a crap about a musician/actor/...'s religion (maybe cult is a better word in the case of Scientology) as long as it doesn't reflect on their music or they don't try to sell their religion through their work.
I for example really like the sound of Scott Stap his voice and the sound of Creed in general, but the constant Christian shit throughout the lyrics and his constant preaching just kills it for me (apart from him being a total nutjob).
