Women's hurdles is a phenomenal event... I'm a big fan of Lolo Jones.

Really impressed with the opening ceremony. Having the Queen say "Hello Mr Bond" is the best thing I have ever seen on TV.

Rowan Atkinsons bit was quite amusing as well!

I'm really liking the opening so far, lot of soul and pretty entertaining. Besides the fact that the guy just called the girl on her phone to tell her that she had lost her... Phone...

Well, on a positive note so far the music is good.

The gold Olympics thing was fantastic looking.

The Mike Oldfield stuff, espcially the "fish slapping" song (Il dcuio jublio), then Chariots of Fire with Mr. Bean.

The ceremony is, however, proving yet again that "synchronised" mass "dancing" doesnt work, looks terrible and is retarded.

Just like every other opening ceremony before it.

Thought they may have been a bit more creative, but no!

Mr. Bean has the hugest balls in the world to make a fart joke during the Opening Ceremony.

Also, did you know that the Ceremony can be synced perfectly to Pink Floyd's "Echoes?"

Yes - she has a great sense of humour - who knew?

Oh and there is something just bloody awesome (cute and sexy at the same time!) about Australian Michelle Jenneke - my first competitor that I am 'supporting'.

This was the best Olympic opening in the world, and, in fact, the first Olympic opening during which I didn't fall asleep.
Britain's sense of humour can't be measured in Metric units.

Also, Czech uniforms fucking take the cake.

Bloody brilliant, the first piece of music after the lighting of the flame... the closing track from The Dark Side Of The Moon. :D

Yeah, Pink Floyd then finish up with the athletes & stadium singing "hey Jude." Epic!

Amazing open ceremony. Bravo Danny Boyle.

Thought the athletes parade is was spoilt, as always by idiots with cameras, why can't they even wait till they get to the centre. Some people paid over ?2k for seats, not much to ask the athletes to show a bit of respect and wave to their audience. Maybe the IOC could charge the teams ?2k a camera.

I don't think she's competing though :(

On the ceremony: Jolly well done, chaps

Music question during the ceremony:

The long sequence with David Beckam on the boat with the Olympic flame, can't recall the band or title. (He looked a bit James Bondish in that too, actually.)

(Not the short one handing the torch flame to Steve Redgrave at the end.)

I do like how some countries only appear to have attractive people in it, it's also amazing how unfun some countries look as well

also mad props to the only dude representing his country that walked out wearing shades, he looked badass :p
