I updated my codec pack to the new Defiler Pak 1.20. Video works fine but I've lost all my video thumbnails in WinXP and can't seem to get them back up. :? Anybody have any ideas? Should I uninstall all codecs and try again, and if so how do I do that? Thanks in advance.

Uninstall that codec pack by
start -> control panel -> add/remove software and choosing it in the list to uninstall

Install another (better IN MY OPINION, don't try to convince me otherwise) codec (one codec that fitts them all):
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=53761
FFDshow Alpha (the version with 2004 in it)

EDIT: I looked it up, and it seems that codec pack has FFDshow in it. So maybe there's something else that is causing your problem. But i would personally uninstall it anyways.

Not sure I would ever install something named "Defiler Pak".

I also run FFDShow, Quicktime alternative, Real alternative and Media Player Classic, works like a charm for everything I need.

You can also try VLC ( http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ ).
However I like that less since it doesn't properly support dolby surround downmix, doesn't support Real properly and keeps switching in and out of full screen mode when using a playlist.
