'Loud' keyboard users

Which are Cherry copies. They only did that because Corsair had an exclusive contract with Cherry for the new RGB switches.

Said on the box it was their own, i didn't do much research into it :p

But i am concidering a new keyboard now, as it is actually kinda annoying having to erase U's at random when the keyboard decides i need two of them.

Which ones are good now?

Get a ducky, never look back.

I'm probably going to be dumping my MX Blue Shine Zero for a shiny new MX Green Shine 3 here in a few weeks, whenever I can get myself to pull the trigger on the $169 price tag. I'm on my second one and I'll never buy anything else. They're absolutely fantastic.

Ducky? is that a keyboard brand?

Edit:

After having had it for 3 whole days, I can heartily recommend the CM Storm. It's exactly what I want in a keyboard: 104 keys, and good feel. No pink frilly edges, fancy backlights or loads of macro buttons.

I'm half concidering the Corsair Gaming K95, which lets ya pretty much pick what switches you want, not knowing much about them, what color is the better ones? i can pick from
Cherry Red, Blue and Brown

Yeah.

I've used the Cooler Masters, the Razers, the Logitechs, and been wholly underwhelmed in comparison to my Duckies. They feel like tanks, like I could beat someone to death with it then sit down and get back to work and it wouldn't miss a beat.

I spilled beer, tea, and coffee into my first one and always just rinsed it out in the sink and let it dry overnight. It only met its end when my foot caught the cable and mangled the USB connector.

They are premium - very, very premium - and command a very high price, but I absolutely think it's worth it.

Cherry MX Red will provide no resistance and with a gentle touch it will go to the bottom. It provides no tactile feedback and is really easy to multi-tap, so it's awesome for gamers, though some typists have mastered them and think they are awesome for typing as well.

Cherry MX Blue has a strong pop feel every time you press a button, accompanied with a click noise. It provides a noticeable tactile feedback and because you can be 100% sure that you pressed the button, it is considered the best for typing

Cherry MX Brown is the middle ground - it is similar to MX Red, but it has a slight bump, providing a little bit of tactile feedback. Good for those who want both game and type, and those who want the feels but don't want to sound like a 80's typography office.

The roles aren't clear cut, and it is down to preference. I both type, and play Battlefield, on my MX Blue board, some prefer other switches. Before going hard in the paint, I'd order a switch tester kit for 13?

There is no 'best' when it comes to keyboard switches. It's purely subjective. I might like some keys that are as silent as possible, but then JakeRadden likes MX Green's, which are probably the 'clickiest' of them all.

The main difference is tactile versus linear switches. The primary keys are blues, browns and reds. As far as I understand the other switches are just variations of those but require more force to push them down.

Blues are clicky, browns less clicky (kinda middle point) and reds linear and not clicky (no switch half way through). It's said that browns are good general switches, red for gaming as you can 'half-tap' them and blues if you type a lot and dont mind the clicking (you have to be deliberate when typing).

The problem with Ducky keyboards is that you cant get hold of them easily with a scandinavian ISO layout. I can only find one source, but am not familiar with it: http://www.prisguide.no/produkt/ducky-shine-4-220791

The link above ( https://www.komplett.no/search?bn=1...:DESCENDING&subcategory=11154_Gaming+Tastatur ) basically summarises what we can get in Norway, i.e. the generic LOLBLINKINGLEDSGAMER10k keyboards. It's hard to find some black, 'business' mechanical keyboards. :/

Get a Model M and order black parts. I think I saw a place that offers them.

After doing a lot of research, I don't get why anyone would get a Model M when you can just get a keyboard with MX Green's and have infinitely more customisation available. :dunno:

They should be easy enough to find given Ducky makes a Nordic layout board... Looks like just no distributor in .no yet :(

The feel is quite different even between Ms and greens.

Yeah, the M is a much different experience than any MX switch I've tried so far. Speaking of which, I should get that 122 key M working!

I found another M at work. It's Dell branded, in slightly better condition than mine. I want it.

Didn't even consider the issue with different keyboard layouts. Sucks that you guys can't get them easily in that layout :(

Isn't access to windows/function key and much increased ability to customise worth the 'downgrade' in feel? Greens should in theory have a similar weight to them... :hmm:

EDIT: Plus keyboard layout of your choice (i.e. if you want ISO layout).
