Making a quick trip to London this month

Anyone have any recommendations for what there is to do there?

Also, I'd like to try the local cuisine.
 
Seconded. As for local cuisine, having lunch at pubs is a good way of getting to know that.
 
Science Museum is good, allegedly. I've never been there because I avoid London like the plague.

Oh, if you are eating out and want to try Britain's most popular restaurant dish then you need to have a Chicken Tikka Massala with Pilau rice, I kid you not.

If you stumble, dazed and confused, in to East London then Jellied Eels. (NSFVWE - Not Suitable For Viewing When Eating)

I'll eat pretty much anything but I haven't tried them and would certainly think twice about trying them.
