Making LFS not flicker?

I'm getting more and more annoyed by the flickering of LFS.. For example the lines on the track or the fences at the side, or the curbs.

So I did a little test.. I have a Geforce 6600 gfx card and I put all options for LFS to the max just for testing.. 1600x1200 32 bit, 8xAA, 16xAF. Usually I play 1024x768 16 bit, 4xAA and 4xAF so I get over 100 FPS :p

Now here's a screenie of what it looked like in the highest possible res:

Please take a look.. Especially at the lines on the track.
Here's a zoom of the area just behind the car on the pic..

As you can see the lines are not continuous, they have gaps of gray. Now if I were to move the car about 1 cm, the gaps would be on a different place. Causing the lines to flicker like hell.

So that's what's annoying the shit out of me.. If even in the highest possible res it doesn't go away what should I do about it? It's driving me nuts.. I spend more time tweaking graphics settings than I spend tweaking the car setup :(

Does anyone have the same problem and do you care or not? ;)

I think I have it too, but it doesn't really flicker like you say.
If you drive fast enough it flickers

Nah, maybe not flicker, it's kinda hard to describe the effect..
But there's a moving pattern, lets put it that way. A moving pattern instead of a straight line. If it moves fast enough it kinda flickers :)

It never really bothered me / I didn't notice it before.
It's really not that bad on my pc.
If you're using a CRT, I suppose you could try to increase the refresh rate and see if that helps (mine's at 100Hz).

It turned out my drivers were buggy... It seems like it didn't use any AF at all :)
I reinstalled them and now it's much better, even with "only" 4xAA and 4xAF. Still visible but a lot less annoying :)
