It's all about replay value. But, you're right. Man, that's a ton of stuff.

well this is Bioware we're talking about, when it comes to replay value it often seems that they go that extra bit longer than other games companies usually go.

this is slightly off-topic but its Bioware related and a new expansion pack has been announced for Dragon Age Origins called Dragon Age: Awakening.
Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening is an upcoming expansion for Dragon Age: Origins. It is scheduled for release PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on March 16, 2010. The expansion is set in Amaranthine. The player has the option to import their character from the main game or start over as a new as a new Warden from Orlais, with a whole new origin. The expansion will include new content, more storyline, 5 new recruitable party members and an old favorite, new spells and abilities, a raise in level cap, new items and much more. The storyline is set to be based on discovering the darkspawn's true purpose and dealing with the mysterious "Architect"
Trailer goodyness follows below.

Ever wish sometimes you had the ability to pause time so you can actually have time to play/finish all these games? Yeah, that's what I'm feeling now.

On a side note, not really digging the whole "veins popping across my screen" every time the characters suffers a major amount of damage. Way too gimicky and "Modern-Warfare-2ish", hopefully there'll be option to tone it down/remove it.

I think it'll work well for me. During fights I often find myself not concentrating on the health bar in the corner, and die. That being said, I do like the health bar more.

just a quick heads up for those interested in ME merchandise, the first issue of Mass Effect: Redemption is now available. Be warned though, the comic takes place in between the events of Mass Effect 1 and 2, so if you've not completed the first game it may make things slightly more confusing.

i. can. not. fucking. wait. for. this. game.

Shit!

I hate the comic book chain where I live, Vintage Stock. They are a bunch of stuck up assholes. I call to see if they have Redemption. This was the convo....

Me: Hi, I was wondering if you got Mass Effect: Redemption in?

Pompous ass: Did you call earlier?

Me: No....

Douche Canoe capatain: Well, you're like the 5th person that's called and NO, we didn't order any.

Me: Uh... thanks.

Guess I'm getting it online.

sounds like my local comic shop. i asked them to make sure to get all issues of the Blackest Night event currently running in DC comics. In the last few months they've missed so many issues that i've just given up and getting them on eBay because i've got a mass of comics that i can't read because i've got missing parts.

They really have the most useless sales method going.

new trailer up!

also as another heads up the soundtrack to Mass Effect 2 is going to be released on January 19th. the track-listing has been released but avoid it at all costs. it could very likely have massive spoilers.
On top of all this, i've found out that the game has increased in size so much that they've put it on 2 discs. given the size of the first game and it being on only one disc. i am litterally shuddering about the scope of this new game.
