This is probably one of the least likely product extensions we've heard about: in the US, Ford has teamed up with a cosmetics company to produce a range of nail varnishes that match the paint colours of the new Mustang. Three lacquers are offered: two shades of red and a platinum silver. The Mustang logo will appear on each bottle, and Ford will be running advertisements for the Mustang in magazines including Elle Girl, Marie Claire and Harpers Bazaar. Although the Mustang is one of the archetypal muscle cars, around 35 percent of its buyers are female, and Ford is aiming to attract even more women to the brand. Or at least, a bloke can go and buy himself a Mustang and get his girlfriend the nail varnish to match...
 
I wonder what crackhead in the marketing department brought that up.

You guys are quick to judge this as a bad or stupid move, when in fact Ford WILL sell more cars, make more money, and the guy that thought of the idea WILL get promoted to senior junior director of hygienic prospects. :mrgreen:
The open market is a real jungle, survival of the fittest and all...just look what happened to Rover.
