I'll be taking this one down after a few days to keep it safe. :)

As a pendant I notice you have pre-1976 hubcaps and the grille/headlights from a post-1976 Non-HL Dolomite or an earlier Toledo. Curious... :p

Wha? I don't know the difference, this is the source image I'm using though so I guess the owner of this thing is to blame. :p

1976 onwards Dolomite 1300 in Vermillion orange/red, aftermarket front spoiler, under-riders, front spots, rear fogs, passenger side mirror (stock ones were painted black too) and pre-1976 Dolomite hubcaps... :| If I wanted to be REALLY anal I could also point out the under-riders are also pre-76 types, the later ones had more longer rubbers, as I have on the 1850HL.

From 1970 to 1976 the Triumph small saloon range consisted of similar but different cars, the Toledo, Triumph 1500/1500TC, "Dolomite" and Dolomite Sprint. In 1976 they rationalised the cars to all use the Dolomite bodyshell, name and a lot of trim. So you got the 1300, 1500, 1500HL, 1850HL and Sprint. Older cars tended to get higher quality bits and more chromework, so it's not uncommon for them to be fitted to later cars. :)

Right, got it. I was struggling to understand what under-riders are but now I see, I thought that was a single wide plate for the number plate. As you can see on the illustration I'm leaving off the spoiler, under-riders, spots and fogs. I'll do the mirrors in black but what do you reckon is best to do about the wheels? They look great and took me a long time. If they'd be best as later types can you find a suitable pic I can use please? :)

Nah, stick with the older type of hub cap, they look much nicer. A 1300 of that age should have plain chrome ones like my 1300:

Although my car also has the chrome rim embellishers, which make it slightly less dull. A HL car of that age would have the black plastic ones that my 1850 is currently wearing. Somebody offered me some early type hubcaps, but I'm sticking with the plastic ones for now, it's not really a priority!

I wouldn't sweat it about the door mirror either if it looks better as chrome, given it's a generic BL mirror you could probably ask your dealer to fit chrome ones when you bought the car (probably having the optional passenger side one fitted too, just to one-up the neighbour's Ford Escort)...
Surviving Dolomites tend to be a hodge-podge of bits from various eras of production, there are loads of tiny production changes, like different rear number plate lights (early cars had a long strip on top of the bumper to cover the light, later ones had two chrome "bubbles") and radio aerial placement (rear wing on early cars, front wing on late ones, although some people changed them up to the roof), style of fuel filler cap (plain vs embellished) and badges changing/vanishing/appearing all over the place.

Pretty much done now, just gone through the process of duplicating the layers and then going through and removing the fill to create a transparent Dolly for T shirt backgrounds. Previously I've had problems with layers overlapping but this time I wasn't lazy and used previous paths to line up all but one of the edges and almost totally avoid this, making what was an hour job with the Series 3 image take minutes. :)

Just need to draw the door lock that I forgot and integrate it in to the final design.

Nice, looking forward to seeing what it actually looks like. :)

I'm up for trying anything, will have a look for some Mini source images.

Edit: I've got something, was working on it last night and again tonight. It might end up being ambitious but rubbish though, we'll see.

Well it still looks good, maybe I made a mistake by offering lots of different colours.

It never occurred to me that the harry potter car was pale blue, I should milk that fact. :D

After a long delay, I've knocked up another design of scattered engine components. Your job is to guess which engine it's from, and then criticise it.

So Jaguar Land Rover (presumably the US side) took down my early designs featuring Land Rover models from Redbubble. No logos, just the illustration and in a couple the name. Maybe for Discovery I can understand because the name could be classed as a trademark but 'Series' was never used as an actual trademark. The final one had no text on it at all related to the models.

I get the impression that I have shot myself in the foot though by spending time to add details, and the US law allows it to be classed as a copyright infringement if it can be identified. Regardless, I can't fight it so will just have to suck it up and wonder why all the other car T-shirt designs still exist. I didn't realise it until now but someone bought a Series shirt, now the only one of its kind in the world. The Anglia designs are fine.

I understand that I'll be fine if I go with more 'stylised' designs instead of being accurate. Bleh.

So I mucked around with the composition of the VW engine parts and added some, while removing the ancillaries because where do you stop with those? Hopefully this will be liked by VW fans, it'll be going up on RB soon available as a print or T-shirt.
