The runaway sales success of the new ?four-door Coup? from Mercedes-Benz has been further highlighted by the sell-out status of the exclusive model known as the CLS 55 AMG ?IWC Ingenieur?.



Seven Australian customers have secured an order for one of the unique four-door coupes, which were developed by Mercedes-AMG in cooperation with the Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen.



At a recommended retail price of $297,900, only 55 units of the unique four-door coupe will be produced worldwide with Australia increasing its allocation from the five units initially destined for arrival early next year to seven.

What do you have to do to get one of those apart from have the money?!!
I must say, getting 7 of the 55 quota is a nice slice indeed. Its not surprising though, I heard that Australia has the most AMG's per capita than any other country.

It does strike me as odd that it costs $297K when the normal AMG55 costs $247K...

The colours not ugly...
Whats changed is mainly the interior. Its got that beutiful piano wood trim and a cool new interior colour combo. Yeh lol, its not worth an extra $50K AUD.

One has just popped up on the Ebay listings. Its a rare opportunity to see this car in its natural form rather than the nice press release images.

...and that wonderfull interior is just RUINED by the dickhead who specified this gold-ish interior. More like baby poo to me..

The color is I would say, interesting. The CLS is one of the most beautifull Merc's and cars overall.

I would take the CLS AMG instead of the new S class if I had to chose.

How can you argue about subjective matters as colors? I don't like the color either, looks like shit imho, so what? You might not like red, or blue, who cares, not liking a color does not make someone "classless".

Accept the fact that not everyone goes "whoa" when it comes to benz, and especially not when it comes to paying 50K for some useless extra crap just for show off and say "eeey baby, i've got a limited version amg, my penis is now bigger".

Criticism taken. Not likeing a colour doesn't grant you "classless". I actually had a much more respectfull comment to begin with (thus why my post said it was edited in October). I do like to speak my mind as much as possible in any forum and I can't always guarentee what I say is correct or that it will please everyone. It was a month ago, now lets please discuss the car.
