Michael Schumacher in critical condition after head trauma

Having seen videos online of Chi Cheng from the Deftones, who suffered a very similar injury in a 2008 car accident (wear seatbelts people!!), I'd say Schumi is in a pretty sad state.
Chi remained in a "minimally conscious state" for years, until his heart finally gave out in 2013.
 
"Watching TV" might be just wishful thinking...

Todt did not offer specifics on Schumacher's condition, hinting only that the German's ability to communicate is limited.

Sadly we've know he's been "awake" for years.
 
You can watch TV if you have Locked In Syndrome so it's hardly major news.
