Works great. I know there are 3rd party solutions for this, but now its "natively supported".

Awesome!

I remember there was this kind of code pack for XP many years ago? I assumed they would have continued the development to Vista and 7, but apparently they didn't?

But I did stop caring because some other commercial OS supports RAW-files without any code packs. :)

There was another codec for Nikon users which worked with Windows 7 but I can't exactly remember which one, this new one is basically the same for me, only a tad bit faster.

Canon users might notice that there's no G12, S95 and no 600D. Dont really get it why . . .
Good thing I have a G10.

I normally use Bridge but I guess this is nice to have. Lol.

Maybe it's my computer but it's still painfully slow going through RAW photos using Windows Photo Viewer. It's a good thing I have Lightroom.

Don't forget they're HUGE files.

No problems with that. On mine its just like opening a folder of JPEGs. Its your PC i think.

No D7000 or D5100? What are you playing at Microsoft?

I bought the full version of FastPictureViewer for my RAW images, it's great but it gobbles up memory like the world's ending. I also use Lightroom.

Damn it, my camera is not supported.
