Hey,

I am looking into the mini coppers and I found that they now have a chilli, Checkmate and a Parklane model in all of there range on top of the standard cooper. I found that there is a price jump from normal to chilli then again to checkmate but checkmate is the same price as the parklane model.

Any help? :D

Checkmate and Park Lane are just Ltd Ed models. They don't offer much apart from different decals, wheels and paintwork.

^ Chilli is an extras pack over and above a standard Cooper or Cooper S, so the model range is (ignoring Cabrio):

Cooper > Cooper Chilli > Cooper S > Cooper S Chilli

Check out the Mini website for all the details & specs

I think mechanically they are similar, but the chilli has upgraded suspension and possibly more interior trinkets, but not too sure on that one.

edit: Cancel the bit about the suspension. It's just trinkets such as chrome trim and leather

...mmm....

my wife told me recently that she wants to get a mini with her bonus at the end of 2006....

though she wants a '70s body with a '96 drivetrain, and, hopefully, get it somewhat race prepped. she is considering rallyX through SCCA....

umm, an "open" relationship may be of help here-send her a picture, and she may let you in the passenger seat...

...and her sister is 16 years OLDER and only drives Toyota Camrys

No other sisters than the camry driving one then?
