"Yesterday I came back from the small roadtrip"... - No, wait, that was two months ago! - Wow, time flies!
Anyway, on to some pictures:
Monday, 3th August 2015 (Day 1/4)
Already somewhere in the Black Forest, underway to the meeting Point.
I have arrived, the usual "GREETINGS
, lip" has been endured, and already there was an ongoing show: Land Rover "Bugsy" joined the RAF:
Thomas came by with his M5 for a short visit.
Later on we stormed a Restaurant in Bad Wildbad.
Back on camping grounds: The british way of making a camp fire: A bit of coal and a hefty dose of lighter fluid. The short-time result: Impressive!...
...the long-time result however... not so much.

Tuesday, 4th August 2015 (Day 2/4)
Ahh, morning peace. Apart from the international snoring of course.
Fact: Car detailing work goes a lot better with hands-in-pockets supervision.
White flags in the allied command post!
My ride:
Of course: The usual tirekicking needs to be done.
But enough with camping! Let's get on with some driving! - Almost ready for takeoff:
Finally!
Some strange german speed camera:
Dino on obstacle reconnaissance:
On this day the weather wasn't so good, it never rained that much, but the rainclouds were always looming:
But who cares about lack of sun when your route goes over pieces of derestricted Autobahn: Audi A4 vs. Audi A6 = Goodbye Mr. Bond!
0:49 - "Holy shit, Urs!"
Short pause somewhere underway to change passengers/drivers:
By this time I was already missing the mountains, but it has to be said the Black Forest is also a cool sight.
Next stop to decide when/where to get petrol and food:
After that pause I was a gentleman and gave
MWF to opportunity to have a go with the V8.
Little did I know that from here on the good and twisty roads were starting... the lucky bugger! - Next time I will do more route research beforehand so I can let other people drive the boring bits, only to claim my car back as soon as the fun tarmac shows up. Thehe.
Cola for everybody else, Icecream for me. Live is good.
Damn great roads and the weather turned better too. The Roadtrip Fahrgef?hl was strong...
...very strong. Great stuff!
Look at these gas-guzzlers!...
...they all should have bought a frugal car like mine! Tiny 4.2L engine and 1.8 lightweight tons, that's the key!
Meanwhile The Dood said "Hi" to Terrarium-Oliver.
Next Pause after some more great roads:
Btw, the tiremarkings were there before we turned up. Honest.
Selfie time! Don't blink! - Ack!
Later on back on route to the camping grounds the rain finally came. In big buckets!
Suddenly I did enjoy a bit more to be the passenger: While
MWF had to concentrate hard to steer the
car boat I took a nap. Thehe.
Supper time somewhere underway:

Wednesday, 5th August 2015 (Day 3/4)
Again, morning peace and solitude. I took a long walk trough the nearby forest.
Only a few hours later...
... we where underway again. Beautiful day, great roads: Roadtrip Fahrgef?hl!
Adamar and
Matt2000 joined my as passengers for the day.
Spontaneous dinner stop at a typical German restaurant.
nicjasno "cleaned" some local Schwarzw?lder-Torte.
Back to more fine stretches of road...
...and kitschy (but real) towns.
Compared to the day before the summer was also very real and parking in the shadow was in high demand.
Into Baden-Baden for petrol and barbecue shopping.
Hence some more parking.
Todays hilly route was great and the final part looked very promising too.
So a few minutes more of Baden-Baden rush hour was tolerable.
Soon enough, back on the good stuff.
Again, beautiful scenery included.
Much later back in camp: Boys with toys, man with beer.

Thursday, 6th August 2015 (Day 4/4)
Same procedure as the days before: Lining up and a bit of waiting for the slow risers.
Poor Ice. Not even a hot wash was enough to get rid of those blue wheels.
Then I overtook some MLM's on route to Stuttgart.
Porsche Museum, very fancy.
The coolest of them all:
Ok, granted, this one was nice too:
The experts in discussion:
The museum itself is not too big, so there was time to do the loop more than once. - Cool stuff.
To spice up the straight-to-Ringmeet driving parts I deliberately went out of hearing range while the others discussed where to take dinner underway. I also turned my satnav off. With this I had to follow somebody, like in the movies. Childish yes, but this kept me occupied during the more boring restricted Autobahn bits...
... wasn't that much of an adventure to keep up with
Shad's Mercedes 190 tough.
Yep. This was dinner. - I'm not a junk food guy, so going to a Burger King for the first time in my life was an occasion. -
Ahem, thanks Final Gear.
Om-Nom-Nom
I actually have still no idea in which town we had this very elusive dinner.
Anyway, next up was the ~3hrs drive to the Ringmeet. Because of traffic I went off the Autobahn sometimes to enjoy the german scenery a bit more. Hence I was one of the last ones to arrive at Altenahr.
A very familiar sight by now:
I have to say to me this was just the right length for this Roadtrip. Sure, driving daily loops in the south-west of Germany isn't very exotic and I did miss the epicness of alpine terrain, but all in all I had a great time, and for sure the Black Forest region is damn beautiful, especially that bit we did on Wednesday. Superb. - My english gets better year after year so the conversations are easier too. Still not really fluent tough, but we get there.
See ya' next year. On some strange island, I heard.
