I have Extra Innings at home, because I like watching sports on TV because I get sidetracked online, but its nice to have access to away broadcasts, HD (which I don't get because my cable company is rubbish with the Sports on Demand stuff) and I can travel with it. Good buy all around.
I just wish to declare Diamondback (anything but) relief pitcher to be the most useless pitcher in the history of baseball. He's blown more leads than a porn star has blown dicks.
I love the MLB network, the other night I watched the game from 1997 when Randy Johnson struck out 19 White Sox. With his decreases in control and velocity I had kind of forgotten how good the "Big Unit" was. Also got to listen to the "Hawk" for the first time, that guy is hilarious:lol:.
What's funny is the fact that a lot of Red Sox fans have adopted the Nationals. The biggest Red Sox message board has a movement called Natstown dedicated to quite possibly the worst team in the history of baseball, it's almost as if they put 9 outfielders out there every night.
Watched another "all time great game" on MLB Network last night, this time Kerry Woods 20 strikeout game. Couple of thoughts;
1- if Mark Prior and Kerry Wood stayed Greg Maddox like healthy, the Cubs have a World Series ring.
2- I forgot how young Kerry Wood was in that game (his 5th start) and his stuff was filthy.
3- The 1998 Astro's uniforms looked incredibly cheap.
4- I had almost forgotten completely about Derek Bell.
