Thoughts so far, HOLY FUCKING SHIT was that a good Fitch fight, why can't he always fight like that?
And credit to Herman for hanging in there as long as he did on the ground.
Also, WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH ALL THE FENCE GRABBING NOT GETTING STOPPED? Prado and Silva both did it so fucking blatantly and only got multiple warnings for it, take a fucking point or two already.

Silva could be either Eric or Anderson. 
Anyway, I enjoyed watching it, even if the judges were too lenient with the fencegrabbing and most matches were made to let Brazilians show off.

Well how about that? The wimminfolk are officially coming to the UFC, and I can't wait to see them. Ronda was announced as making the jump tonight followed by Tate, so I'm sure everyone else will be made official within the next few days. Now the UFC needs to buy out Invicta FC to at least use a farm system if not for their bigger contracts as well.
Also, Strikeforce will hold it's final card in January and then shut its doors for good. So now all the people saying Gilbert would destroy everyone in the UFC will get to see if he can sink or swim, personally I think he's going to end up a guppy in a shark tank.

Franklin is overrated as fuck, every elite level guy he has faced beat him. The only times he won were when the other elite guy was a lot older and over the hill (Wandy and Chuck). Most of the times he got KO'ed as well, save for Forrest and Hendo.
This pattern is nothing new, move on.
I also think Le is better than you are willing to admit. His timing and distance judgement are excellent.

God mother fucking damn it, I thought the great injury curse of 2012 had left us, but I was fucking wrong. There's been at least 3 injuries in the last 24 hours, one of them being my boy Carwin blowing out his knee. This really sucks, I had hopped he would knock Nelson out (and I still like Roy) and retire with a nice win, but at this point I think his body is telling him to just hang it up totally. 37 years old now, multiple major injuries that have required surgery, he has nothing left to prove and I don't want to see him fight unless he could be at 100% again.

Quick picks for tonight, spent the entire day renovating our rental property and I'm tired as hell and back/knees are screaming at me.
Condit/GSP - On paper, GSP should take this, but I don't know how he's going to look after being out of action so long and the major knee injury. No matter who wins, this should be a good fight and I fully expect them to hug after its over.
Kampmann/Hendricks - I have no idea who's going to take this, but my heart wants to see Kampmann get it more because of how he was fucked over in the Shields and Sanchez fights.
Lawlor/Cormont - I'm going with Filthy just because he makes me laugh my ass off.

I missed Condit Vs GSP, but I am glad to hear to one thing, it silenced those who say GSP has no heart as he was able to come back from being hurt badly and still win.
As for Carwin, he should probably retire, he's quite old and will never be a contender again. He is also an an obvious roider, look his physique before the JDS fight, he came in significantly smaller for that fight (he used to cut from around 275lbs), he has also been referenced in a roiding scandal.
He'll maybe get one last fight against a weak chinned opponent so he can go out on a win.

Actually, I've heard Carwin used to be around 300lbs of solid muscle, this was before he got into the UFC though. Did he use roids? Probably, but without a failed drug test to prove it, no can say for sure. That being said, his name being tied to that steroid bust a few years ago sure doesn't look good.
I thought Condit looked beaten mentally by the 2nd round, simply because he just couldn't really land anything at all, GSP was always able to get out of range. Ok, now that I'm drunk on a mix of 209 tears and Black Label, thoughts on tonight.
Penn/Rory - Penn needs to just retire and people need to stop drinking his koolaide. He posts a video of himself looking to be in decent shape for a change and that means he's going to dominate? Clearly not, not only did his cardio fail him once again, but he didn't even have a decent first round, he was soundly dominated. Nothing is going to help him at this point in his life, he needs to just hang it up. As for Rory, I don't know, for some reason I'm not as high on him as I was a year ago, I think still think he's the future of the WW division, but something tells me he's going to hit a few roadblocks in the near future.
Shogun/Gus - Rua looked the best he had since the second Machida fight, but that's not saying much. I think he also should hang up the gloves at this point, there's nothing more to accomplish and I don't like seeing him get beat up like he has over the last two years. Gus... he's good but I don't see him having a prayer against Jones, maybe if/when Hendo gets injured he can step in to fight Machida and we can really see if he's ready for a shot at the belt.
Diaz/Bendo - While I felt his first fight with Frankie could have gone either way and that he lost the rematch, he without a doubt put on one hell of a show tonight and deserves to be called the champ. He outclassed Nate for 25 minutes and made it look easy the whole time. I remember thinking back in 2009 how I'd like to see him take on BJ one day, then I thought it was a crazy idea and BJ would clown him. Today, Bendo would utterly dominate him. I look forward to his next fight. Still can do without the "praise jesus" stuff though.
