Mongrel engine swaps: improving classic cars

Someone build a 4 door Granada with a Koenigsegg twin turbo Ford V8

http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/06/crazy_granad/

Looks good and awesome, but unfortunately for me it is a Mk2 Granada and not a Mk1. So not the same want for me, even if one of my uncles had a Mk2 Granada station wagon.

The one my grandfather had is special for me since he had it for a long time in my youth and I learned to drive in it in the early 1980's.

Edit:

Found some videos of it.

Damn, pushrod heads are small.

Look at Aratoga's signature pic.

Uh, something like that...

Not a Ford guy, or engine specialist. Even though I own a Ford truck.

A guy I know restored a Pantera some years ago. It's mostly stock with the Ford V8 still in it, but it has modern ignition and a different exhaust system and some other bits and pieces.

Now he's working on another one, this time with the V8 from an E39 M5. :D

Another Coyote swap

Another Coyote swap

Spotted at a cruise-in that I went to today...

This '67 Fairlane benefited from an extremely well-done Coyote swap!!

And no, the Saab 900 drivetrain doesn't count.

Both the Fairlane and the Cobra are perfec examples of a classic car made even better.

Personally, I wanna see an original Shelby GT350 with a Voodoo drivetrain (and updated brakes and tires, obviously)

Panda 100HP engine and gearbox into a Yugo. It shouldn't be too left field, yet in a light body, it'd make for a decent power-to-weight ratio and it would actually use less fuel than the carburetted original Yugos.
