I'm gonna be in Montr?al from Nov 8 to Nov 12 for business.
I doubt that I'll have much of any time to look around, but I'll ask it anyway:
Is there anything worth seeing there?
What's a good place to eat?
I'll be staying somewhere around the intersection between highway 440 and 15 (Laval).

Hope I get the DVDs before that week.

euhm, well...

euhm...

mja, i laughed when i first read it

sorry

I don't know montreal as much and well it's starting to be cold thesedays so there aren't as many things to do as in the summer... There are tons of nice restaurants though but not as much as in quebec either.

what's the name of the hotel?

what kind of food and activities are you looking for?

I like Italian / Mexican / Chinese / American / Dutch food.
As for activities, not sure, is there an indoor go-kart track somewhere?

asked someone I know from montreal, she's a travel agent so she should have some info! :p

you'll def get the dvds before then. M5Rangerover is sending them on Mon and the next guy will be speedy with them, i know him.

k, got my answer.

There's a nice place for Go-Kart in Brossard with is in the suburbs of Mtl, she tried it and liked it a lot (about 40 mins away from Laval).

There's the Paramount cinema (movie theater) on ste-catherine street in Montreal, they show cool movies like Superman on IMAX screens with lazers.. and it's only in english so you'll be fine.

As for the restaurants, she says try the "3 amigos" again on ste-catherine street (that with st-laurent are the two hottest spots of montreal) it's a mexican and very spicy restaurant.

There is also Football if you like that. As for bars well she said the "red light" in laval is a nice place.

She said if you want more suggestions just give me your points of interest. :)

Hello from Montreal.
Haven't seen much on anything yet.
So far looks just like a US city (pokes bear with stick and runs.... ).
The wimmenz, look very... ehm.. european  .

haha.

Well I don't like Mtl much.. it's a too big and americanized city IMO.

BUt there are still cool things.

Try "Les Foufounes Electriques" on ste-catherine street. it's a bar, and ask someone what the name means, you'll have a good laugh :p

have fun!

EDIT: do you have a rental car?
