I walked outside two nights ago to try but I then realized it was cloudy. It has been raining ever since. Makes me sad.

These have been my attempts

Mush better than what I can get!

wow! those are great shots! i never got to see the moon since it was raining hard where at that time. glad you guys shared these photos.

1200mm f/6 white lens. No, but really, it was taken tonight through my brother's telescope. We don't have any camera adapters so I was just freehanding it (which seems to work better (for the moon) than a tripod since you have to get the camera at such a ridiculously precise angle to actually see anything, and the lens has to be as close as your eye would be). A third full resolution. Prty gud, not sure about the blur though, not sure if it's from the telescope (reflectors are the worst for photography, but great otherwise what with the low cost for lots of focal length and aperture) or my lens or not having the camera perfectly straight to the focal plane. Exif shows 20mm, lol.

Went outside and saw the moon was looking nice, so grabbed the tripod and had a shot at what I could get.

The first is uncropped. Pretty good for the standard 70-300mm lens. :)

^ Very dramatic.

You guys all have lovely moon shots.

I finally got the opportunity.
