while britains white and blue collar work force have to contend with redundancy or pay cuts....the useless knobs in the government are busy awarding themselves above inflation pay rises and an increase in their pention payments....courtesy of the tax payer.

they are trying to push through a 2.33% pay rise along with upping their pension contribution to 8% and upping the tax payers contribution to THEIR pension to around 29%

now i already think most of them get paid far too much for what some of them actually do and dont forget all the scandle about MP's abusing the expenses program... Jaqui smith claimed alsorts from luxury furniture and home entertainment equipment to even the plug for her designer kitchen sink (also on the expenses) and we cant forget the porn movies her husband orderd which also went on the claims form

not only that, supposedly people who work in the civil service, get paid a lot more than most people who actually make wealth generating products that the country can sell

they're shooting themselves in the foot imo.

We went through a big debate about that in the US not too long ago. Congress had given themselves something like 8 pay raises without raising the minimum wage. That was good for some populist rage.

i should point out that some of the civil service includes teachers, NHS staff and those in the armed forces... and for them a pay rise certainly cant be something to get annoyed at. those folk at least deserve it, especially the army boys.. i think they get a mere ?16-17k for their troubles fighting a war that some feel shouldnt of happened. a normal MP/back bencher sits pretty on ?64k average to do basically sod all useful.

teachers have a tough job as do nursing staff on the NHS, they do put in the hard graft that lot.

was watching the riots yesterday and that mob that attacked the RBS branch in london... the branch that the top man in RBS resides (and gifted himself a ?1m pension with bailout money before buggering off)

and if the reports are true then the city boys really do need bringing back to reality with a hard object to the face....

apparently as the mob was being a bit rowdy outside, city workers...i.e. bankers decided to stoke the fire by waving wads of cash out the windows at them. i mean how cheeky can you get, spend years recklessly lending and setting the whole system up for a major fail and then being rewarded for all their greedy work with tax payer bail out money which they then proceed to rub in the face of the "unwashed" masses outside.

it beggars belief

It's hard to imagine a way out of the mess Britain got itself into without the use of automatic weapons and blindfolds.

i know, i think its because the politicians and all the big city institutions dont look any further than the M25 ring road. thats the boundaries of their world, anything outside that doesnt exist. probably explains why alot of the uk has been left to rot.

I want to protest at the protesters - they do not like it go to a socialist country - Cuba springs to mind where they will thoughly enjoy themselves cutting sugar cane. I wonder how many protesters have ever had jobs and just want to live off my tax money?
