Simple question. Let this be a greeting to any of the more....militant members of Marina Heaven or whatever they call themselves.

At least the Marina is a car.

I have a feeling the Marina is one of those cars you drive while lol-ing because of its sheer awfulness. The Austin Allegro seems to be the same way.

Here's a comparison of the two by some tall foreign guy:

I'm honestly deadlocked, as I can't decide which would kill me quickest.

I'd drive the Marina to the house of the moderator of that Marina forum.

INTO his house.

I'd jump out before I hit it though, seeing as I should have no problem escaping from its 30mph top speed. ;)

I chose Bird Flu, but I want to make it plain, I would rather have ebola than bird flu, but that was not one of the choices.

What kind of question is that?
"Ital design studio has a new car"
"That accelerates faster from 0-60 than a SAAB 900GLS"
"That overtakes faster than a Mercedies 200"
"Yet costs less to buy than a equiverlant Escort Saloon"
"And is styled in Turin by Ital design"
"New Morris Ital, styled in Italy, built in Britian"
The magnificance.

I'll have bird flu, because at least I can recover from it...

Actually if there were to be a flu pandemic caused by the H5N1 strain it is anticipated it would likely have a similar effect to that caused by the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918 where "the virus kills via a cytokine storm, which explains its unusually severe nature and the unusual age profile of its victims (the virus caused an overreaction of the body's immune system?the strong immune systems of young adults ravaged the body, while the weaker immune systems of children and middle-aged adults caused fewer deaths).

At 29 you are slap bang in the middle of the age range of 18-40 quoted on an edition of the BBC's "Horizon" on the subject a couple of years ago.

I'd say the Marina was a safer option. At least there's a chance some TV programme might buy it off you to use in a series of amusing challenges before setting fire to it. Like that could ever happen.........

hmmm, I made a catastrophic error last time around and chose Rosie, but now it's clear what it needs to be : flu please

I would have a Marina TC coupe

The cars best feature is that it looks like a mk2 Ford Escort. That was a good car.

I'd still pick bird flu.

Never seen a Marina, but Morris Marina is such a weird name. It's like a male first name followed by a female first name.

Bah! My body's dealt with all the abuse I've flung at it so far, a bit of H5N1 won't trouble the scorers too much...

...and if it does kill me, it'd most likely be in a hospital surrounded by nurses. And that's preferable to my final vision being of Rosie O'Donnell, or the dashboard of a hateful Marina.

So, bird flu it is, then! Bird flu for everyone!

Bird Flu, at least with that i can get some time off work as well.

I've spoken to the scientist in that article. He is convinced that the parrot is "just resting".

That's never a Norwegian Blue!

Curses Plissken for stealing second gag in one day.

I've got bird flu at the moment. And plague, ebola and tennis elbow :p So bird flu it is.

Although if an Allegro had been on the list I might have... I very nearly bought one earlier this year*, it was bright metallic green, and the extra-horrid Vanden Plas at that.

Fortunately, I then had an attack of common sense.**

*Drink and eBay do not mix.
**i.e. I sobered up in time.

Bird flu, because we already have a car in our family that we have a love/hate relationship with. It's called a Focus SVT (kind of the cousin to the ST170, for you in Europe). And Rosie? Dear God no.

I'd have the Marina, so I could think of some funny way of destroying it!

by the way: That parrot - lovely plumage!!

car...cuz its a car...i go places in it. then sell it. If i cant sell it, i can make artwork out of it and then sell. or sell it for scrap metal. theres money to be made here. If not then Rosie shall be my Sugah mamma she cant be around much longer w/ what she eats so I'll win.
