Most Beautiful Saloon car?

It's just a DB9 with 2 more doors.
True. And as the DB9 is one of the most beautiful cars of today, the Rapide must be one of the most beautiful saloons.

Bentley Flying Spur for me, please.

These two:

Citroen C6 / Rapide / S8 +1

But I'll always have a special place in my heart for the E34 M5

On sale today? Quattroporte no doubt. 5-series? Alfa 159? CLS? not even close.
The Citroen DS and older XJ look great, but the coolest looking sedan ever made is the Bucciali TA-V12

Duesenbergs from the 1930s.

XJR, or the Quattroporte.

I know thats your car, and you won't like what I'm going to say but you've made one of the best looking cars look vulgar. But it might just be different cultures :)

I think it's just you, since I've gotten all sorts of compliments from Brits and Americans on it.

FYI, the only non-factory or non-factory-aligned parts on it are the wheels and fog lights. The spoiler is genuine JaguarSport/TWR, the sunroof wind deflector was an available factory option, the Hella fog lights (which were available on the XJS) replace the broken factory Cibies that were on it when I got it. The 7" H4s were a conversion back to the Euro/UK spec from the US 5.75" ones.

As for the leaper, that's not something I like. The car came with that - many US dealers stuck them on their cars. Unfortunately, since it is held on by studs and nuts, removing it would leave two holes in my hood. I'll save that for when the hood gets repainted (to deal with the inevitable rock chips) later.

And it looks even better in person. :)

Shame I don't see these in good shape anymore.

Most of them are now in dire conditions and have been destroyed in Banger Racing competitions. Worse, they are now suffering of an increasingly dodgy sheepskin, pork pie hat image due their filth owners.

No offence I hope. As you are definitely not one of them.

I see you treated it with care, and that's very nice. I much prefer the Mark 1 XJ than the squarish XJ40.

For me it's definitely the Quattroporte or else the Flying Spur.

The new BMWs are ugly and the Rapide just ruins the proportions of the DB9.

Thought not the most beautiful, I do quite like the look of the new Mondeo. Pity us Yanks can't get them over here.

damn when i saw the DS and the Duesenberg.... thats beauty. I love old cars new cars lack style so much it actually hurts not being able to see them more often on the roads. I wish i had obscene amount of money - my garage would be my bedroom, livingroom, kitchen....and only one car would be younger than 25 years.

Just give me a moment. To be honest, I do kinda prefer the 740's sharper lines to the 240, but the 240 seems to stick out more.

But, you can't deny the 850 either:

I'll let someone else post the P1800 :p

Another point you are all missing is the fact:
The 159 in that picture was only ?23,000 from that cheaper dealer. Even if you got it from an alfa dealer its only ?25,500. So how much is the QP again (also alot wrong looking)

I truely love the BMW '5er' E28.

My parents had several of those, espacially the 528i and the 525e were great cars. Our 525e had a straight exhaust pipe for about 6 months which made the inline six sound mindblowing without being too pornographic. We lost our original exhaust during our summer holidays in Denmark, a local garage fixed it by attaching that pipe. Much better sound than expensive tuner pipes, but our T?V (MOT) didn't like that self-made stuff...

E28 in good conditions have become quite rare these days. Too bad.
