Hey guys,

I'm trying to creat a still to motion type pic like you would see on a magazine cover. I know they have a proper rig but I cant afford one right now so PS is my friend ...

Here's the original shot I took :

Here's the WIP in progress ...

Any suggestions or tips from anyone who has done this before ?

That's a good start Cosworth (can I call you Cossie? Please? :p ), but make sure the window and headlight reflections are blurry as well. Those little details can ruin a composition. A silhouette over where the driver is can work as well, and, um, why is the sky purple? :?

That angle hurts my head...

One thing you need to realize and remember that just because the car is in movement, doesn't mean everything in the picture is blurred. The road and grass look like they should be but the buildings in the background seem to be far enough away that they should remain untouched or slightly blurred. All a matter of distance vs perspective. In this particular image, the car is also turning which means the background is also less likely to be blurred.

just my 2 cents
