Fine-X is a family-sized compact wagon with a difference or two: gullwing doors and a fuel cell hybrid system with independent control of each wheel, due to individual motors within each wheel. These, in combination with four-wheel steering, allow the Fine-X to rotate completely on its axis, as well as park in tiny spaces and perform tight U-turns.
Those eye-catching gullwing doors have a function beyond grabbing the attention of show-goers and better displaying the car's interior, though: they work in conjunction with electrically powered seats ("Welcome Seats") that move in and out of the car for effortless entry and exit, opening so high that there would be no need to duck down or bend over. Great for disabled or elderly people. Further user-friendly touches include an all-round peripheral monitoring system, keeping a look-out round all the blind spots.
