The FSC is a crossover-style concept car, smaller and more car-like than the Lexus RX.
Toyota describes it as a "flexible saloon concept" - hence FSC - which reminds us a bit of the Renault Vel Satis, but it does look quite practical, with a roomy five-seat cabin, a two-part tailgate and MPV-style interior versatility.
It could hint at Toyota's ideas for the new-generation Avensis range; with traditional saloons, hatches and estates in this sector losing out to 4x4s, MPVs and crossovers, a vehicle like this may well be on the agenda.
Nearer to production, however, is the Estima Hybrid, an MPV concept combining Toyota's hybrid system with electric four-wheel drive, along with a high-tech central panel and power-folding third-row seats. Watch out for these details on the next-generation Previa.
