Toyota's take on the likes of the Segway scooter, the i-swing is one for solo travellers.

When travelling in a street full of people, the i-swing can operate in a two-wheeled mode that takes up little space, so that it is possible to travel while keeping pace and talking with someone on foot.

Alternatively, the i-swing can change to a three-wheeled mode, with stick control or a pedal control that allows users to shift their body weight as if on skis.

And if it all goes horribly wrong, the i-swing's low-resistance polyurethane body is covered in cloth to soften any impact with an unfortunate pedestrian.

haha, that would be pretty funny. If these would get popular I think we would have news stories like "Pedestrian gets run over by a Segway, more at 11PM"
