With mini-Golf GTI front-end styling and similar exterior trim, this hot Polo will feature a 150bhp version of the Volkswagen Group 1.8T turbocharged petrol engine and be capable of 134mph and 0-60mph in 8.2 seconds. It's not as powerful as the closely-related Seat Ibiza Cupra, which has a 180bhp version of the same engine, but goes head-to-head with the more affordable Ibiza FR, which also develops 150bhp.

It'll have 16-inch alloy wheels, polished exhaust tailpipes, a rear spoiler, a honeycomb-style grille and red brake callipers, with sports seats, aluminium trim detailing, a three-spoke leather steering wheel and black/red upholstery on the inside. UK pricing and specification will be announced at a later date; but it is expected to go on sale towards the end of the year.

I like it! Except for the Goatee.

Also, it needs more stripes. You can never compete with the Fiesta ST without stripes!

I really want to see how this will stack up against the other hot hatches, clio182, Pug 180GTi, mini S and stuff.

cause at AUD$26,990 it beats them all for price. I have a feeling that it won't be as nimble, but i hope im wrong.

I like it very much, unfortunatly the price here in my country will be as always very inflated ! VW cars here are expensive as hell ! (Not just because of taxes...)
