My 2006 Impreza STI

Well, here she is :D

First car I have ever owned, brand new at that, and such a beauty to drive and own. I remember driving the Imprezas on GT2, and of course watching them take to the woods at WRC events.

It's pretty much all I need in a car, got room to fit four people (even if it's barely in the back :p ), loads of room in the trunk for anything I need. And of course it comes with the power and handling!

Had argued with myself over getting an EVO IX or STI when first looking to buy a new car. Then had to decide over new or used. But I guess it was a good choice to pick new. I liked the new front, and knowing I was the only one to drive the car, that it wasn't destroyed by any previous owners.

I gotta say it is grueling at times to clean black, and with the water out here it's rough on the paint if I don't wax it or use some type of cleaner after washing it. But I love the subtle pearl that is in the paint when it hits the light :D. And black overall is just awesome with a good clean and a fresh coat of wax!

As I said in the other thread, this is my realistic dream car (in those exact colors) and I hate you. :(
 
Beautiful car. Although, I wouldn't choose black for a rally car.

Someone at my office just got a brand new STi and I almost didn't notice it, because it had a small lip-spoiler, rather then the big wing. After seeing a few dozen times, I think I like it better. Gives it that sleeper, regular Impreza, look that I think is mean. But still, looks great with the wing as well.

You sure it was a STi? I thought all STis had the big wing while all WRX's had the small lip.
 
Ah sweet. I prefer the wing though. If you're gonna pay extra for the STi, might as well get the billboard that goes with it. :p
 
^Ah, I've never seen that here or anywhere in Asia, we only get the RA or S203/4.
Looks like a really cool sleeper though, but as Viper said, if I'm going to buy an STi, I would like it with the wing, it has defined the STi since STi Version 1.
 
Yeah, I wasn't sure what think at first either. But after seeing it a few dozen times, I really started to like it. The boy-racer park-bench on the deck-lid is cool and all, but the little lip spoilers on the front and back of the Limited model gave the car more... credibility or maturity. Like... you could pull up next to a BMW M3 and not feel out-classed.

Am I too young to own an STI? Been a dream car for years8). Was more of a deal between my father and I. Asked him to get me a used one, or even a WRX when I went of to college. He agreed and well, he passed away in August. So I drive it with his deal in mind, I even have his dog tags hanging from the rear view, always as a reminder:thumbsup:

It's a nice car, got to see one in person. Just didn't think much of the leather and sun roof...living out in the desert kills to have leather :D

sorry bout your dad. Great car a friend of mine had a black 04 man that thing would scream, his got taken away & sold like a month before graduation because of bad grades :( :lol: BTW happy b day

Well, if I was 20 and was going to buy a car, I could prolly afford something like a last generation golf, with nothing special equipment. Guess it depends where you lives.:unsure:

Cars are so ridicilously expensive in Norway..:blowup:
