My 2007 Subaru Legacy GT Spec B

Yeah, not a fan of the eyelids. They look cheap and tacky. But everything else, I love - including the JDM bumper. Is there a JDM rear bumper that's shorter than your USDM one? That would complete the look.

One more improvement I'd recommend is the Blitzen front grill. That my friend, is where it's at.

I'm a huge fan of the old B4 Blitzen rear wing, too.

This is correct. Curb rash sucks.

that's ok thats why i buy cheap wheels, no point in buying $2000 original Volk rims and then get really upset about curb rash. This way i buy replicas, if it happens, as i do a lot of urban parallel parking, then i dont really care much.

I swore I had posted about your car...but alas I failed myself.

Your car is secks. The rims w/ DGM color combo is great.

I thought I saw a spec.B at the dealer and about barrel rolled out of my car as it was moving to go see it. But it was just a GT Limited. Whenever I see a scoop in a hood of a Legacy, I always have to check the sides and see what rims are on it!

Always keep it clean!

new parts to be installed in a few days, more to come later:

ohh la la! nice header. and what size turbo is that ?

thanks i picked up some used equal length headers and had them professional ceramic coated/copper treated and the turbo is a VF40-18G with upgraded wastegate actuator.

Let us know how they sound, I am thinking since they are now equal length the Subaru Burble? would disappear.

And how are you going to get past emissions?

aside from other performance gains, one of my goals is to get rid of the rumble, i'm tired of the sound, and i've heard legacys with ELH and they sound great.

emissions = not a problem, new car purchases here do not require visual inspection or emissions testing for the first five years of ownership, i just write to check to renew my registration.

What exhaust are you going to use/are you using? I have ELH and I'm wonder if it's easier to modify an existing exhaust, or buy UELH and getting something made for the MY08 hatch.

Off with the old headers:

exhuast: cobb catted DP, K2 gear catback

why do you want to get UELH, they are worse for performance vs your ELH. Plus if youre going to use the rally car arguement, just keep in mind the WRC car uses equal length headers because of superior flow and power gains.

Only reasons are 1) Ease of replacing exhaust with proven aftermarket brand and 2) that Subaru sound.

Really, it's more the first than the second. I really want to get a little more sound out of my car, and also get something better looking that the little tip that's there right now. And I refuse to get the $40 Subaru exhaust tip sleeve or whatever. That's just a plain ripoff.

EDIT: Car sounds nice up on the dyno. What's the power difference?

the 'subaru sound' is overrated, dont go UELH just for that reason, seriously. plus what do header style have to do with your exhaust tip? just get a new catback exhaust, that is a completely separate exhaust component.

281, 297 damnnnnn! thats some good power! how much did the headers help ?

impossible to measure, i installed the turbo and intake at the same time so those are cumulative gains.
