Well, I got it on March 6th, traded my '06 STI in for it. So far this car is great, this redesign really grew on my from my first looks at it. From my first thoughts of "bleh, what did they do to it!?" to "wow, I think this car looks pretty awesome TBH"

So far this is the only couple pics...from the day I got it, 14 miles as of that point.

Here's a video I did to show how the interior looks at night, I think it's pretty awesome looking, and lotsa buttons to fiddle around with :D

Been crap weather, so no good pictures as of yet. But next week is supposed to be warmer, going to give it a proper wash and take some nice shots!

No big Nav screen?? Or is that was in the big black gap in the centre console?

Having sat in my Aunt's Impreza RS I loved the interior, it was so simple and easy to find everything, nice place to be.

The looks of this Impreza range are slowly growing on me.

P.S. See, there is more to this post now:p My computer decided I was done before I was done

Nah, I couldn't really see a reason for it..I guess there is a couple of neat little display options for information, but I'm cool without it.

How can you drive a Subaru and not know where you're going right?

God those dials are so cool! Why did the headlights blink so many times when you inserted the key into the ignition? Nice Toyota alarm :p

Were you really running the car in the garage with the garage door closed? :p

Awesome car though. I'm jealous. I really like this new STi.

I love that locking system. Hilarious. Otherwise, great car - very jealous.

Sweet, must be such a toy to drive. And I see you can adjust the power front/rear. The advantages of awd combined with the possibilities of a rwd car (drifting ) . Nice :)

Ah that thing looks absolutely fantastic. I've wanted an Impretza STi ever since I started looking at cars when I was about 14 (2 years ago). I think the new one is my absolute favorite. I still plan to buy one as my first new car (Since my parents slapped down the idea of me getting a '04 WRX as my car because they thought the spoiler was silly)

There is almost too many buttons to fiddle with . I was showing that the headlights go on/off when the key is put in/out. This model has DRL's now, but the headlights can be kept on at all times from what I found out :D.

Heh, yeah I did :p. It was pretty cold outside last night, thought a minute or two wouldn't hurt it or me

When I first saw Initial D, I started getting in to the cars. When I saw and rode in an STI for the first time back in '04, I fell in love. An Impreza regardless of model/trim is a great first car, though it will feel very akward to drive anything else afterwards :D.
I love the adjustable HIDs. Both of my parents' Infiniti Q45s have that same feature.
I think it's a pretty neat option, and they adjust a bit more than the previous model. I would be neat if they turn as you take corners, I rode with one of my dad's co-workers, had a BMW 3-series that did that

I think they did the right thing, WRX's and STI's are very weird to drive for the first time driver. They behave very differently than other cars at the limit, it is hard to describe. But once you learn how to drive an AWD car, everything else is easy.

But when you get one, hats off to you!

Very nice car... although I'm still a fan of the very first Impreza and the one you had before this, this is still very nice. But the STi has grown up so much, it no longer has a boyracer look to it anymore though. Even the interior looks very nice now, when compared to the previous Subaru's which look so typical Japanese.

btw, is it because it was a cold start or are the new STi's limited to 7000rpm instead of the 8000rpm like previous STi's?

Only thing i have to say is, why didn't you pick white?

Oh, I intend to get an Impretza of some fixings as my first car when my Avalon finially kicks the bucket... Every time I get it checked there's some little problem, and my mechanic always tells me "Well, this time, it was a pretty simple fix. Next time, unfortunately, you're going to need some major work".
Anyway, I should have about 14k USD to spend on a car when my Avalon kicks the bucket. I figure I should be able to get something decent in the 05-06 area, not an STi but a decent-mileage WRX perhaps. Although I will still have to do two things beforehand:
1. Learn stick (Going to as soon as the weather gets better, a family friend will be teaching me)
2. Convince my parents that spoilers aren't "Silly and cheap".

EDIT: The only criticisim I think I can make of your '08 is that I would have chosen either the blue/gold rims (classic) or white... I just dislike grey cars.

Finally got warm enough to wash the car today, took some shots!

I sifted through about 500 of them.

Amazing car dude. I'm so jealous of it... I'm so torn between saving for one of those or modifying my own car... wish I had yours!

Have you thought about getting the tail lights painted red/smoke/smoked red?
