Ownership Verified: My Italian soft-top, rarer than a 599 GTO.

What the good captain is trying to say is that the nearest proper motorway for him is about 150 km's away :p

A mere 54 mile jaunt to the nearest one actually :p

Which one is that? Far as I know motorized civilisation ends in Perth :p

Oops, a Google shows I was mistaking the dual carriageway going South out of Aberdeen for a motorway. To be fair the last time I was on it I was on a coach... and asleep. So yeah, a mere 160 miles... :tumbleweed:

Regarding fuel economy - see my signature.

"She'll go 300 hectares on a single tank of kerosene."

I don't understand litres per 100km or whatever it is. :?

I treat "highway" as standard A-Road driving, around the local area the traffic flow can be anywhere between 70mph and 20mph (stuck behind a tractor for 5 miles) so it is hard to work out.

My home to work is about 1.5 miles town and 1.5 miles 40/50MPH A-road. I'm assuming 'highway'.

You bought a car for a 3 mile commute?!

I have 10 miles of fast A-road, a couple of miles in town (in total) and then 5 miles of fast B-road.

Depending on which way I go, it's either a 3 or a 3.3 mile trip... but, then theres getting home to. :p A massive 6/6.6 mile round trip.
I tried the bus for 4 months, and public transportation is for jerks and lesbians.

Thats why my MPG isn't great, by the time the car warms up... and starts to burn my arm... and the hot oil smell starts, the journey ends.

It's a weird unit of measurement. :p

The postman brings me gifts...

You know cap, when a bloody Belgian, (a nation notorious for having people in it that hardly ever get out of their own village) knows your countries road network better then you do.....I think it's time to get out more :p

I love the way that they actually believe that the gas struts are capable of lifting the boot lid in the first place.

The Disco bypasses boot struts entirely? :p

........

This is the dullest thing in this thread, but I had one key and needed one cutting. There's a guy around the corner, but apparently you have to take it back 14 times for it to work. I was in Tesco's, which has a little built-in Timpsons shop, I thought I was gonna get raped. "One for ?7, two for a tenner."

Kung-fu the Panda, now has 3 keys. :D

The gas struts probably lifted the hatch just fine when they were fresh. Some 20-odd years later, not so much. They're easy to replace though.

Also what's with the factory wired pic? What am I missing?

I like the fact they took the time to draw random wires sticking out of the dash. :dunno:

It's still not accurate though, they forgot to draw the sparks and flames. :p

"Kung Fu the Panda"

i love it
