Ownership Verified: My Italian soft-top, rarer than a 599 GTO.

MOT runs out today and I didn't book it in.

He's booked in for Tuesday...

... in a different garage.

 good idea. Hopefully it wont take 10 years this go round.

He's in the air... Horn has a mind of its own, lightbulb out and it needs welding.

Thats just what I know, dunno what else yet. Hasn't been run in a week, so emissions probably out.

So he failed... Both front ball joints the covers are split.
The chassis rail rust from a few pages back.
Battery insecure.
Headlight aim too high.
Washer doesn't work.

"Drop it off on Monday at 12, it'll be ready for 3. It'll be ?180 all in."

Not bad at all, I'm happy.

So, I'm ready to accept bets on when AM will actually get the car back...

My bet: Dec 1, after 5PM.

You actually went to a DIFFERENT place?

Couldn't afford both time and money to take it to the old garage.

In semi-related news the couple who bought the white Selecta had it MOT'd this morning. Passed with flying colours.

I went to rescue him today, but, they've found the problem we need an entire throttle body.
I'm expecting a massive bill and storage costs...

Then it's ?20 labour to fit throttle body and jobs done.

You really should do a deal with them like Ferrari did with the FXX, they keep it and maintain it and once a month or so they will allow you to drive it. :p

Even though he hasn't been driven in 8 months, I had to get him off the 'road/not quite a road/DVLA says it is a road.'

Three options...

1)Sell him
2)Scrap him
or the 3rd option...

He's about 6 miles away now, but tucked up for the winter/a while.
