Firstly, Zola's engine is finaly finished! Its lovely with the adjustable timing gears, and the lancia camshaft cover
~300? cams, ported head, bigger valves, we are hoping 160hp-ish from it:

Let me follow on:
There was going to be a race shortly, but I had to do something with the hidious oversteering. Plus it was time to
get the rear axle in the middle, becouse it was way to offset from the lowering. I lightened the rear doors a bit more, not to much tho..
And I finished the rear stabiliser as well. All this in 1 afternoon!
The problems:

Firstly I cut some more from the rear springs, to lower the car, there was way to much rake. Lowered it about 30mm more here is how she sits now:

Then came the rear axle centering:

Then the stabilisers mounting on the axle:

Oh, and i took out the trunks keys, so I dont have to stop the engine if I want something from the back of the car, plus it is going to be lightened, but there was no time for it:

Lightened the rear doors a bit more, very few to cut out now:

So thats it for the upgrades. Also, I bought 175/70/13 tyres (not new, but they are in good condition) for the rear.
The story:
Friday the 13th, was just a perfect day for me, no sign of unluckyness, I passed my english language exam (oral part), borrowed a trailer (or towwer?) from a friend for free, everything was set up for a perfect saturday the 14th
They organized a slalom/rallysprint race "nearby", so It was time to test the car with these suspension settings, and the centered panhard, lowered rear end. I have to say, the car is VERY good to drive now. No sign of understeer, only if you are entering a corner with way to much speed. Everything was fine, untill... Well on the practise run, I smashed my second gear's synchro... So I had to hold the gear shifter, in second, other wise it throwed it self in neutral. Well ok, shit happens... I completed my first timed lap, but I had to go again, becouse there was a fault in the photoelectric cell which times your lap. I was happy, I got more laps to go. Well, on that lap, I completly destroyed the gearbox, and it seems like it took the clutch with it as well..
So I have to change transmission (lucky that I bought that sport tranny), and probably clutch as well... Expensive weekend... Well I guess thats autosport
Btw, I think it is time to buy a pair of R888-s on the rear rims as well, becouse I couldnt get any traction! It was very spectacular for the viewers, but very slow...
Fun tho...
Vids, and pics to come, stay tuned!
Cheers
