I need a new daily for when the Cactus goes back, so why wouldn't I buy a Panpan 4x4?

Oh no, he's got another one. When will it end? Er.... Great choice!

Well maybe it was inevitable, from the first photo it seems like FIATs are quite popular on your street and it certainly looks pretty tidy. Winter tyres look interesting, probably the first time I've actually seen a car with them fitted in this country. Let me know if you want to come down and play in the mud, would probably be huge fun.

The 'Climbing' badge is interesting, can you tell us what that gets you for people who are too lazy to look it up? ?

The UK Panda 4x4 are all 'Climbing' and they're all the same spec, it basically means we have electric front windows and fog lights.
They're all 1.2 petrol and permanent four wheel drive.

The Cross was available as a diesel and had a electronic locking diff. Which just uses the traction control and abs to brake the wheels.

These aren't like a Fabia Scout, these are made to go off road and not bad at doing so.

Regarding the winter tyres, it's what it came with.
I don't know if I'll get a second set of wheels and have normal tyre and this winter set. It depends how annoying the winter set is.

Yay, a Panda! And a 4x4 at that. This would be perfect for me to do some light off-roading during, while still being a perfectly capable road car.

How's does 1.2 engine cope with the extra weight of the AWD systems, considering it only has 60 HP?

19.4 seconds to 60 MPH.

14.5 seconds for the Alessi, which has the same engine.

The 100HP engine, bolts in and just requires the wiring loom. However, this car is just for commuting and I do about 15 miles a week at most.

15 miles / 5 days = 3 miles a day
so that a single commute of 1.5 miles?

unless it's raining dogs, i wouldn't go by car...

Good point. That's a half hour walk or a 10 minute cycle ride.

Work is 2 miles away, some days I'm away all week. Other times I'm home home every night.

Plus I might have to be at work for 4am and maybe home for 7pm.

I get annoyed walking to the front door.

Panda 4x4. AM, you're living life the correct way. Grats.

Because if you buy a Panda, everyone will ask "What the £$%" were you thinking?"

Original Panda? Yes. New Panda? Nope.

30 litre fuel tank isn't great.

Seriously, it's only got a 30 liter fuel tank?

That 30 litre fuel tank is a real shame, as otherwise the car seems like quite a neat little package.
