Ohh thanks for reminding me. I will go try and wiggle my way into the jag system now.
 
Odd we do our color codes by numbers but I guess jag does it by letter combos.

British Racing Green Metalic shows up as color code BRGM on the Jag XJ8 and XK8 order guides.
 
Ok, but how do I actually get the paint. I cant just tell them that code can I?

I just got my Drivers License!!! Six months on that until I get my P's. Ill finish the mini just in time!
 
Good to hear! looks like you have spent a lot of time on your mini to complete it in such a small amount of time.
 
6 months is a plenty of time, I hope to have it done by Easter

Nice indeed! I also liked the green but the orange let the Mini look more agile and agressive. Kind a Mini Gallardo thing... almost. And the engine block looks fantastic in red.

I got a question about the patch job. Arent you afraid it will start to rust again after a while? My dad has friends that work in the automotive industry in Hong Kong, he says that the cars that gets patched up for rust come back in a 1-2 years with it starting to rust again.
 
Not after im done with it. Usually idiots patch up rust with putty and just paint over it,
I cut the rust out, placed in new panels, metal etc, preserved it, then placed putty
and painted over it with primer.
Of course in some time rust will come back,
but not in 1 or 2 years, 10 at least.
