Hi!

The last few days I've been making a new design to my Maserati web site:
http://hln.nu/maserati

Since Microsoft Internet Explorer doesn't follow current web standards, the pages doesn't look as good as they should if you use IE to view them...
To fully experience the cool effects fo the backgrounds, I recommend you to use Mozilla Firefox, or another standards compliant web browser of your choise... ;)

All parts of the site are not done yet, but I'll keep working on it during this week...
On the "log" page, there are a lot of words of car parts I don't know the english name of, and I've tried to translate it from swedish... If you know what I mean, and know the proper english word, please let me know here or via email: maserati@hln.nu

Thanks! :)

BTW, there are a lot of other reasons to use the Mozilla Firefox web browser instead of IE, than just to see the backgrounds of my site in a better way... ;-)

Niiice, I like the textured glass effect on the initial boxed area, used Firefox

I get an error when I go to "Pictures" tho, "More Pictures" werks.

I know... You get the same error on the Events page. As I said - I'm not really done yet... :)

The glass effect is cool, and really easy to achieve with a few lines of CSS and two versions of the background image. Then you need two more versions for the links... :)

looks good

maybe you can add a page with a view of all cars maseratti ever made. that's always a pain in the ass, to find ALL the cars some brand has made

i realy wonder why they don't put it on their website

Well the glass effect just looks tacky in my opinion, but it's nice to see that your site is w3c compliant :)

I have thought of that as well, but Maserati has made about a billion different models... ;)
Just look at the biturbo-era... first came the Biturbo, then the Biturbo S, then the Biturbo Si, then the 222 and 222E, and 2.24V and 425, 430, 4.24V and so on... and that is far from all.. ;-)

If you click on "Cars" and then "Heritage" on the official Maserati site (http://www.maserati.com) you can find most of, if not all, the cars made by Maserati...

you can change the glass effect by changing the CSS in the browser... ;-) I provide several different styles, just for the fun of it... in Firefox click "View->Page Style->" and then the style you want... all they change is the background in the blue box...

I always try to make my sites w3c comliant... this is the first xhtml-page i've done though...

a maserati site with no 3200GT pics is not a real maserati site :p atleast get a small logo of that beauty in the corner or something :p
