I gave my '00 Honda Civic the flick last week and after three long months of waiting for it to be built and shipped from the UK, I picked up my new Mini. I got it as a manual, even though I've been driving an auto for the last 7 years but I had a couple of lessons and it's all good. I've got some pretty funky red and black leather seats but I haven't got any photos of the inside yet. Can't wait to take it for a proper drive out of the city.

And BMW owns my ass for the next four years.

Nice car! Good job on getting manual... I'm sure it makes it even more go-kart like.

I think they're still selling the old new Mini over here in Canada...

Yeah - after the Civic it really corners amazingly. Now I know why everyone says it's like a go kart. I haven't tried it in sport mode yet which makes it even better, so I've heard.

Great car mate! I've been in Ford Prefect's Mini One, and i've encountered firsthand how well one of these can handle with minimal modifications.

Thanks for the comment guys :) The handling is great - I test drove one with sports suspension and limited slip diff and one without, but love the modified one so got those things put on.

So far I'm going to leave it as is coz I'm really happy with it.
