they're nothing alike, and at first sight nothing very special to only choose from these 2 options i think
but i'd go for the nokia. the simplest in use, and the best brand all around
i've had one eriksson, and am glad i have a nokia again. it's a joy to work with
i bought a 5140, and am just loving the beauty

I think the criteria (since he is in the US) was the phone company he wanted to use. Over here your company buys you a phone and the two phones he listed are only offered by one company, and are the best phones available from that company :-\. Damn the US cell phone industry for not letting us use whichever phone we want.
