I think the new BMWs in general looks good (well most of them) but the new 3 seires just doesn't look as good, it's not as catchy as some of the current bmws or like the new 5 series. It does not feel like a timeless design. A car like the Audi A4 looks wonderful, even the older ones. Same goes for the current 3 series. But i don't know about the new 3 series.

I have said it before and I will say it again, the new E90 3-Series is very nicely done. There are no odd proportions, just flamed surfacing to give the car disctintion and it certainly has more character and personality than the bland A4s and C-Classes.

Overall I think that it looks good the proportions are right or at least appeal to me.

But there are far too many details on the car and too many curves etc on the surfaces. They give the car an "restless" feeling if anyone knows what I mean. Still it is definetily a step in the right direction...

Indeed! I love this one's design because it doesn't look like any other Bangle designs :p

don't fancy those weird back-taillights ...

thats the problem i have with it, too many lines and it dont look smooth. looks too messy, hood lines going to the side and rear lights that arent really connecting or flowing with the cars edgy lined design.

Ehh 7 minutes is "far apart"

Don't have to delete them..just edit and type your other things you wanna say underneath it

Your so wrong. That is what gives the car its character. Your trying to say that a good car design must be smooth. Well if that were true the Pagani Zonda wouldnt be as good looking as it is, or the Enzo Ferrari, and so on. Like Jeremy said in the Nissan Cube review, we are looking for cars to inspire two things: sex and violence. Mission Accomplished BMW 3-Series!

i would have less of a problem if it didnt have unecessary lines in it.

the head lamps dont inspire much, they could have been designed better.

too damn angular, look at the z4 then look at the 3series lamps, z4 much more simpler, 3series has unecessary angles, its going everywhere.

i like the look of the enzo, the zonda was an aquired taste, i thought when i first saw it, whoa. then looked at it more and more and fell in love with it.

its a supercar with character.

the 5 i have to admit, is good looking but i strugled with the looks cuz i would have thought BMW would stick with an executive sedan look, professional, elegant yet a sports car underneath if you have the M5.

thats the way i see the E55 but then again it is more of a luxury car where as the BMW M5 is more of a sporty sedan and they matched the look with the cars true character.

BUT, this new 3, along with the rear of the 6 adn 7 just doesnt appeal to me and should be changed.

i just hate it, cant find anything to like about it.

the 5, i liked but just didnt like the direction the styling was going but have accepted it for its purpose to be more sporty/performance like.

the 7 was a bit aquired taste and i like it but the rear is horrible and overdone.
the Z4 is bangle at his best and the 6 is mediocre.

this is purely on exterior styling.

maybe with all that said some of u can see how i see things.

i guess i would prefer an entry level car to be simpler.

i would take the IS300 over this new 3series, a C-class, A4.

id take the older 3series over this new one.

simpler as in it dont look like abstract art.

oh but wait! the e46 3 series has an accent line down the side! OMG to many angles for justin!!

j/k
