Bojaaaah :lol: , I was hoping and it's a dream come true! Can't wait for the final pictures of the car ... btw, where the hell is THE SCOOPS SECTION??

It wasn't sure for a long time if this version will ever be built - but now its sure - the new M-Roadster will come even more powerful! The 4,0l 8-Cylinder will have 400HP. It will be available in spring of 2006.

By the way, this engine will also be used in the new M3 which debuts in 2007.
It's basically the same engine the M5 has, only with 2 less cylinders.

Uhm...no!

I said it's taken from the M5, but it has 2 cylinders less. By M5 I mean the current M5, the E60.

If you wanna get the E39 M5 engine in the Z4, just go to the tuners. They're offering the conversion.

If you ask me less hp/liter is a good thing.

Let me quote myself from the RS4-thread:

The 3.2 straight 6 used in the E46 was at it's limit, horsepower wise. They had many problems with engine failures and in order to keep up in the hp-race a change was needed.

I liked it though, and it had lots of torque too. 111nm/liter. I didn't know about engine failures in the M3.

looks exactely like a regular z4 to me, except for the covered area of the front bumper, but who knows, might be a big surprise there :lol:
