My first exposure to the "Looks" of the new STi were when I saw it sitting in a suburu Car Lot. I was shocked and instantly repulsed buy the Alfa Romeo Japenese blend. Personally I think the car looks Weak and really Unnesessarily styled. The blunt front of the previous Suburu was a much more handsome car.. Ive taken the time to "FIX" the front of the new STI.. Check the two pictures out and you choose which you prefer.

Of course its a chop.. I chopped it. and stated so above... But id also like to add to the conversation im apparently having with myself that if the Mitsubishi EVO X looks anything like there concept Sportback (Posted below) Suburu will really be in a bad place.

I don't know. I prefer the Subaru Alfa grille over the Mitsubishi Audi grille. The Subaru grille hits you when you first see it, but it grows on you. I think that if Subaru didn't make the mistake that is the Tribeca, the new Imprezza wouldn't seem so bad.
 
I really hated the new Subaru front end in all the pics I saw, but the other day I saw a black STi rolling around and it was quite sexy IRL.
 
The Subaru grille grows on you, but the chop looks good/slightly better too, even if it is far less distinctive. From afar, though, it looks like a silly kid who's rolled his bottom lip into his teeth. :p

Also, this new STi is just a revision of a platform that's been facelifted 3 times since its introduction in 2000. There should be a new one along shortly, hopefully, to do battle with the new EVO X. Clash of the titans!

(mostly because when im in it, I cant see how bad it looks) :p

and at 200kw atw, most only see its bum :)
 
Nah I reckon the new Sube grill is a winner, especially once you've seen it in real life. It's like ol' bug eyes. It always looked shit in photos but when you actually see it, it's not that bad. Only this looks better than bug eyes. Subaru is finally back on track with the styling. The chopped version that you have done looks boring as batshit. It's uninteresting and I feel like i've seen that car a million times before. If you design a car like the WRX, it has to be interesting.
 
I've never thought the WRX or Evo were stylish.
They were just hip enough to be different, but nothing sensational like the Italians.
They are trying to turn things around with their next generation models.
That in itself is :thumbsup:
 
Both look quite good, but I'm gonna have to go with the original.

For the record, I do like new Rex styling ;)
 
The grille of the real car is definitely in the top 100 most horrid pieces of car design in modern history. The chopped grille looks very good, though :) If I had one, I'd get it 'fixed' like that for sure 8)


... but then again I'd never get one when it looks like that original...... :?
